LC-R 720: High Speed Spatial Light Modulator
The LC-R 720 Spatial Light Modulator is based on a reflective LCOS microdisplay which can dynamically be addressed by a standard graphics card with DVI output. With a resolution of 1280x768 pixel (WXGA), the small pixel pitch of 20µm and 8bit addressing the LC-R 720 shows a very high space bandwidth product. An optical efficiency of better than 70% in the visible and the good contrast (1000:1 typical) makes this device a usefull complement to the existing SLM product range.
The very fast response time of < 3ms and the high image frame rate of 180 Hz makes the LC-R 720 Spatial Light Modulator a good choice for high speed applications such as one panel color sequential projection. The modulator is delivered as complete developer kit and plug-and-play device. The display settings can be controlled by an user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI), which runs on all Windows platforms.

LC-R 720 Spatial Light Modulator - Driver & Application Software
| Driver Software: |
Brightness / Contrast / Geometry / Gamma Control |
| Application Software: |
Basic DOE computations; Generation of optical functions (Circular Aperture, Fresnel Zone Lens, Axicon, Single and Double Slit ...); Gratings (incl. Blazed and Sinusoidal) |
The LC-R 720 can be plugged directly to a computer graphics card by the DVI interface. The device is controlled by a HOLOEYE driver software (MS Windows), which provides the opportunity to controll all relevant image parameters and provides a very easy gamma control to configure the Spatial Light Modulator for different applications.
The tailored Spatial Light Modulator application software allows the simple generation of diverse dynamic optical functions like gratings, lenses, axicons and apertures as well as the calculation of diffractive optical elements (DOE) from user defined images.
